WHAT CAN YOU DO TO TREAT BPPV?
BPPV can be treated at home! There are a series of exercises that you can try to reposition the particles in your inner ear so that you no longer feel symptomatic. These series of exercises is called the “Epley Maneuver.” It is possible you may have to try this a few times to for it to be effective.
Here is a video that shows you how to perform the Epley Maneuver.
Note: if your symptoms are worse when you turn your head to the left or when you are on your left side, this means that your LEFT ear is affected and should perform the maneuver on your left side.
If your symptoms are worse when you turn to your right, then your right side is the side affected and you should do the maneuver on your RIGHT side.
